About me

Chris Tobin moved from Toronto to Montreal in 1987 where he attended Fine Arts at Concordia University. Not coinciding with his full-time job he put his art on the back burner for a few years. It was then he knew his time in the service industry was running out and so he picked up his paintbrush once again. His medium of choice was watercolor but soon changed to oil. He attended Dawson College at nights where he studied computer graphics.

He now does graphic design and paints full-time. For the most part he paints realism but dabbles in abstract and impressionism and is currently combining all three styles to come up with one uniquely his own. The Apple and the Pear paintings are a recent example of his changing style. Bigger and better things to come. He now offers painting and drawing classes.

He often works from commissioned contracts and sometimes offers a feasible payment plan. Stay tuned!
